Pregnancy Memories

Hi Sweet Liam,

I'd like you to know I enjoyed every moment of being pregnant with you, I loved that you were always with me. I talked and sang to you in the car, I was always rubbing or touching my belly! I just loved you immediately!

I think often of how excited your Dadda was for you, especially toward the end of my pregnancy when I was large and the reality of you coming was obvious. Your Dadda would send me text messages that were for you, he'd talk to you in my belly and slept with his hand on my belly. He loves you so very much and always has from the very beginning.

One night when I was well into my 39th week your Dadda took me for a car ride on "Rollercoaster Road" (it's real, we'll take you there one day!) in hopes the ups and downs would get you to come out! It didn't work but it's a silly memory I cherish, we were both giggling and he was just beaming so very ready to be a Dadda.

He just loves you buddy, he reads to you and watches your shows, he'll play cars with you and give you baths.

Thank you for being our little boy, we love you so very very much! You are a true blessing from God!

Things to Remember; 19.5 months

Funny, Sweet and Spunky Liam,
How is it possible that you are so close to two years old?! You are growing so quickly!  You are so much more like a little boy lately!  You love to help in any way possible, especially handing Dadda the clean spoons from the dishwasher!  And recently you learned to tell "I not noooooo" when we ask for someone or something that is out of sight.  You love to play puzzels and have gotten really good at getting the pieces in the correct spots, and clapping for yourself! You also really love to go in your room in the evening when it's a little dark and have us turn on the projection part of your noise machine, there is a disc in it that shows stars, a moon and a cow and sheep.  Dadda and I sing "twinkle, twinkle little star" and lay on the floor watching the images with you.  Although you can't say the worlds you clearly now them and can make a humming noise along with us!  You also still love books and your favorite is "Goodnight Moon" which we read you at least five times everyday!

My absolute favorite thing you've started doing more often is hugging us.  Dadda or I will be doing something and you will come up and push on our legs until we face you and you press your little body into ours to hug us.  It's the nicest thing and makes my day every time you do it (which is daily).
The terrible twos have started making appearances in our home which isn't the funniest thing.  You also have three more teeth cutting skin so that makes you slightly grumpy too.  I'm not sure how you can fit more teeth in your tiny little mouth but when you laugh you open your mouth so wide I can get a good look and sure enough, three more little teeth coming in!  For the most part you are a very good little boy, you listen really well considering you are so young. You are generally happy and so very fun.

I'm so thankful that I get to be your Momma, I would not trade it for anything in this world.

Extra Dadda Time

You Lucky Boy!

Lately you've gotten all kinds of extra time with Dadda!  The first time (about two weeks ago) probably wasn't a ton of fun for you as you had a random fever but I wanted to let you know your Dad took the time off without a second though!  How nice is that! Yesterday when Dadda came home he said work had been extra slow this week so he'd taken tomorrow (now today) off to spend with you!  Lucky you!

This morning you got to sleep in an extra 45 minutes, you woke up with happy chatter, it was so sweet!  I made all of us cheesy scambled eggs since I was up early to prepare for work.  We all happily ate and chatted in the kitchen, it was like you knew you'd get extra time at home with Dad!  Soon enough I had to get to work, first I cleaned you up and changed your diaper and we snuggled a little extra.

I called before lunch to see how you were, Dad said you just smiled at the phone when you heard my voice.  Since you were still up I made a special trip home at lunch to see you.  We snaked together and chatted, I cleaned you up again and we sat in your rocking chair just snuggling before I had to head off to work again.

You are a very lucky boy, I want you to know just how much your Dadda loves you!  You are the light of his heart and soul, he would truly do anything for you!  When you hug him or shout "DADA!" his face fills with joy, please always know we love you so very much!

I can't wait to see you sweet boy, only two more hours of this silly work day!!
